The TRANS-BORDERS+ project aims to address common challenges in coordinating, managing, and digitizing cross-border public transport services within the border triangles of Germany-Czech Republic-Poland and Austria-Italy-Slovenia.

The primary objective is to enhance cross-border mobility in these regions by establishing permanent structures for exchanging passenger transport data and information, and by developing a multimodal digital platform for users.

The project's key innovation lies in its focus on implementing Mobility as a Service (MaaS) across borders, rather than limiting solutions to a national level. The project will deliver concrete outcomes, including an analysis of the current digitalization status of public transport providers, the development of a transnational MaaS strategy, the establishment of cross-border working groups, and the implementation of pilot projects.
